February 2019 Update

Things have been pretty busy lately at Huntzman Enterprises. February saw the introduction of four new insignia:

Reproductions: As always, if the patches are made by us they will have our sticker on the reverse, unless of course it has a Velcro backing. NYPD Strong !!

I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am, when I get to see the insignia that we designed and produced being worn by officers. I’ve had pictures come in to me from agencies all around the world. It is a simple recognition of the hard work that goes into the entire design process & manufacturing. That being said, sometimes the most meaningful photo isn’t from a major metropolitan police department, or an tier 1 anti-terror unit, but one from an individual who has chose to wear your insignia into harms way.

This photo was taken by one of my NYPD brothers, who is also a Marine. I won’t ID him, for obvious reasons, but suffice to say that he is part of the legacy of what truly makes the NYPD as great as it is.

Never Forget, a department is only a name, it is the officers who make it great.

So, the fall season turned out to be a bit busier than I anticipated. As a result I got behind in doing updates. I have gone through and worked on getting the graphics done and will be doing a mass update to play catch-up through February 2019.

September 2018 Update

Well, summer is officially over, but things are still hot over here at Huntzman Enterprises.   

This summer saw the debut of a couple of new insignia:

DHS HSI Crisis Negotiation Unit – New York Office

US Coast Guard – Hurricane Harvey Rescue Operations

Sadly, we just learned that the ‘Spartan Helmet’ patches we did for the Gelderland-Zuid, Netherlands Politie Interventieteam have been reproduced by a well-known patch counterfeiter in Spain. Fortunately, there are a number of differences between these fakes and the originals which makes them easy to spot.

We also produced a challenge coin / bottle opener for the NYPD Counter Terrorism Division, but getting a decent picture to post up has been eluding me. I promise to get one and list it up shortly.

July 2018 Update

Well, summer is in full swing and things here at Huntzman Enterprises have been quite busy, both professionally and personally.   

While it has been chaotic with all the new designs being produced it has also been a bit of a challenge to some medical issues that arose.  Fortunately, these have been address and we are well on our way to recovery. This has caused a backlog in terms of updating the website with the latest designs, so I will do my best to keep things in order of production.

May / June saw the debut of four new insignia:

Andrew G. Nelson (Author) Logo - This logo was designed for author Andrew G. Nelson, a retired NYPD sergeant. It incorporates the NYPD flag design, but modified in the form of a sergeant's chevron. They were done in both color and subdued variations. These were produced as giveaways in connection with his line of mystery / suspense novels. It's my intention to do a monthly listing of all the new patches, pins or coins that have come out in the previous month. It's our way of helping collectors know what authentic items are coming out onto the market.
