Official 2026 National Police Collectors Show Insignia
If you've been following our recent posts, you know we've admitted to being a little behind in sharing everything that's come off the Huntzman design table this summer.
Well… this project is one of the reasons why.
Huntzman Enterprises was proud to be one of the co-hosts and produce the official commemorative insignia for the 2026 National Police Collectors Show, held in the St. Charles/St. Louis, Missouri area.
For this year's show, we created a coordinated three-piece collection consisting of a fully embroidered patch, full-size custom badge, and double-sided challenge coin—each incorporating imagery inspired by the history and character of the region.
The Official Show Patch
Measuring 4.5 inches high, the fully embroidered show patch brings together several recognizable elements associated with St. Charles, St. Louis and Missouri.
The design features a frontiersman alongside the iconic Gateway Arch, a Mississippi River steamboat, aviation imagery and law-enforcement symbolism, all brought together in a traditional shield-shaped patch.
Rather than focusing on a single landmark, we wanted the design to feel like a snapshot of the region—combining its frontier history, river heritage, aviation connections and law-enforcement collecting tradition into one colorful commemorative piece.
A Full-Size Custom Show Badge
For the 3.5-inch-high commemorative badge, we went in a completely different direction.
This wasn't intended to simply be a smaller metal reproduction of the patch.
Instead, we created a full-size custom die specifically for the 2026 show, with a pin-back attachment and a dimensional, predominantly black-nickel appearance.
The badge incorporates the Gateway Arch, fleur-de-lis, frontiersman and riverboat imagery into a traditional law-enforcement badge format, along with XLII, recognizing the 42nd National Police Collectors Show.
The result is a piece that stands on its own while still clearly belonging to the same overall collection.
One Coin — Both Designs
Then came the 3-inch-high double-sided challenge coin.
And for this one, we decided collectors shouldn't have to choose.
One side reproduces the colorful artwork of the official embroidered show patch, while the reverse recreates the commemorative badge design on an Indian arrowhead.
That makes the coin the bridge between the other two pieces—a single collectible incorporating both official 2026 show designs.
Designed for Collectors, By Collectors
The National Police Collectors Show has always been about more than what's sitting on the tables. It's about preserving law-enforcement history, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new collectors, trading stories and, naturally, hunting for that one elusive piece you've been trying to find for years.
Being able to help create the official insignia for the 2026 National Police Collectors Show was something we were especially proud to be a part of.
And now that the show is behind us, we've made the official pieces available to collectors who weren't able to attend—or who attended and decided afterward that they really should have bought that other piece while they were there. We know how this hobby works. 😏
The 4.5-inch fully embroidered patch, 3-inch double-sided challenge coin, and 3.5-inch full-size custom badge are all available now on the NPCS page in the Huntzman Shop.
Whether you collect patches, badges, coins—or, like many of us, have long since given up pretending you're going to stick to just one—there's something here for you.
Another project off the Design Desk…and this time, one that helped keep the Design Desk VERY busy all summer.
